Vol. 9 No. 1 (2026): Tafsir, Feminism, and Postcolonial Critique
Moving forward, Jurnal El Umdah will focus on developing Qur'anic and tafsir studies that are responsive to contemporary issues, including: digital ethics and media literacy grounded in Qur'anic values, the reinterpretation of gender and equality within progressive tafsir, living Qur'an as a socio-cultural practice among Nusantara Muslims, hermeneutics and thematic tafsir methodology in the post-truth era, character education and religious moderation based on tafsir, as well as the commodification of digital piety among urban Muslims while remaining open to interdisciplinary studies integrating tafsir, philosophy, pedagogy, and ecology.
